Again this is my opinion from the result of many years of husbandry.

I would like to point out that in stating what my methods are, I am in no way against supplementing a tortoises diet. Many people have had good results with a D3 and vitamin options, especially if the animal is kept in an indoor enclosure for the majority of it's life.
