Tammie, that is something to be concerned about, especially if you are taking proper care of them. Growth rate on these tortoises should be very slow, but at least some growth in a year's time should be noticed, as well as a small increase in weight. My advice to you at this point is to get your tortoise looked at by a veterinarian...and a check for parasites/worms at the same time. Firm stool is not an indicator of a parasite-free/worm-free tortoise!
