Depending on where you live, there's probably some growing nearby & I've never known anyone who has it growing in their yard who wouldn't be willing to part with a few cuttings.

In the South it grows almost as fast as kudzu during the summer & manages to survive winter freezes. The tiny spines are pure evil so be very careful when handling it!
