Lisa,
I just measured Hoku, his plastron length is two and a half inches. So he is a bit smaller than Virgil, but around the same age.

Hoku was very sickly when I first got him, light, small, thin, weak and suffering from a lingering respiratory problem.

He is now a healthy , active, heavy little tort with a good appetite.
I think his illness set him back growth wise, just a bit.

I really don't think we have anything to worry about as far as growth rate is concerned.
Both torts are healthy, active and gaining weight.

It will be interesting to see how they compare a few months down the road.
I know we are both concerned about pyramiding, like you with Virgil I'm determined to grow Hoku up to be nice and smooth.

Lets compare again in a couple of months.
Terry.
