Redfoots are much easier than yellowfoots. I have owned three individuals of both species. I have always had trouble with yellowfoots, but never any problem with redfoots. A good price for a redfoot would be $100-$150. Anything cheaper has probably just hatched and is not that good of a deal. R.C. Paull has a pretty good book on Redfoots, it is #4 in his tortoises of the world series, check it out, it probably will help.
