Personaly I agree that a lettuce/leafy greens only diet is not the way to go with sulcatas.
Fiber is one of the most important ingredients in a sulcatas diet.
A great way for them to get fiber is by grazing on a variety of grasses, vetches, clovers and weeds.
Adding in other more natural foods such as mulberry, hibiscus, opuntia , dandelions etc provides moisture and helps ensure they are well hydrated.
This grazing/browse diet can be supplemented with a small amount of store bought greens. But I wouldn't recommend only feeding store bought produce.
My sulcatas graze daily but the diet is supplemented with the above foods also.
Plus small amounts of endive and romaine.
Their stools are firm and grassy, but not overdry or too wet.
Daily grazing is definately the way to go, but other foods can also be added to the diet for variety and moisture.
Terry.
