I personally deworm all of my tortoises. I have had no ill effects. Yes I suppose that you could leave the tortoise alone, and let him live with the worms that he/she has been living with for years. If the tortoise is doing fine, then you could not treat him for worms, and just leave him alone. That is just my opinion.
Anyway you can find Panacure at any local feed store. It is about 6-8 dollars for alittle tube. It is used for horses. Also you could use
Safe Guard, witch is the same thing as panacure, only apple flavored. which I think the tortoises would like better. You can also order is from feed suppliers on the internet. (I forgot the name of the place I get my panacure from) try look on the main page of kingsnake under suppliers. hope this helps.
