That's why I'm here asking first!!! What I want to know is whether or not there is a tortoise that I could raise inside, and provide it everything it needs to be healthy & happy. You're sounding like your answer is a big 'No', but I'd appreciate it if you could tell me why. If it's something that can be worked around, I want to know what it would take, so I could make an educated decision. But if it's something that can't be worked around (like a requirement for lots of space or more UVB than bulbs can provide, for example) without endangering the health of the animal, I wouldn't do it at all.

As I mentioned, I'm a turtle owner, so I do have an understanding of how important it is to provide everything a tortoise would need. I'm just here to find out if I'd be able to do it.
