: : I can respect other methods of tortoise keeping, but
: : I provide mine with water all the time, his pen
: : is big enough and his indoor enclosure is large
: : enough that this is not a problem. The bowl is
: : clean and the water fresh. Sometimes mine will go
: : sit in it when it's hot, then go off and bask some,
: : then go head for some shade. In the morning my
: : tortoise will sometimes wake up, bask a bit and
: : head for his water bowl and drink a LOT.
: : I personally can't stand to see something thirsty and
: : not have water, I have 4 bird baths I keep full
: : of fresh cool water all day. My tarantulas have
: : water bowls also, I just like giving things a choice.
: : You can't predict when they will be thirsty.
: : Some people keep thier animals without water,
: : others don't. I think ultimately you have to
: : decide because there are different opinions.
:
: Gee,thanks.I don't feel so bad now.I water the birds too.I agree that everything should have water if they decide they need it.I guess everybody does have a different opinion about everything.
