people stop their cars to chat with us too, kids
think it's terribly cute (small kids love it!).
Teddy's being an ambassador for turtles/tortoises,
showing the many a construction workers around
here that people do like turtles/torts as pets
and hopefully make someone think to help one
out should they see it on the street. We saw one
in the middle of the road (I drove OVER him with
my van, centered on him, and turned around immediately
but as soon as I got there, another van had
started turning around too, so I had to hurry
to be the one to save him, not them! I never
got to save a turtle from the road before, it
was a box turtle, he let me pick him up, no problem.

Besides if people see Teddy, via his harness then
they may not think I'm crazy staggering slowly down
the street talking to myself, but instead, walking
a small tortoise with a cute harness down the
street (like that's less crazy! LOL!)

PS - actually it's a secret military GPS harness
for tortoises going undercover in secret operations! LOL!
