Redfoots do the best in a humid habitat. I use sphagnum moss and an ultrasonic humidifier to keep the aquarium humidity around 75 to 80. This is the humidity in their natural environment in South America. From what I have seen, redfoots do not cope well in dry conditions. They always have watery eyes and chapped skin.
