Sulcata diet....The debate..........

I personally have some young sulcata's and some baby leopards and after talking to a gentleman on the phone the other day who has some large ones, he has informed me that the diet of mixed dark greens (endive, escorole, mustard greens, romaine, etc..w/calcium supp.) for my sulcata is all wrong. Since sulcatas are a desert species, grasses and even alfalfa(moistened) is a MUCH better diet. He also informed me that their feces should look almost like horse poop and not this dark, wet, mucky stuff and that these "lettuce" types are too wet for their kidneys and digestive system. The grasses in our yards are much closer to their natural habitat diet. I'm by not means an authority, but it makes sense to me. So, with that said, I welcome to hear anyones comments who actually disagree with this idea vs. people who do agree and why. Thanks to all who reply in advance.
