i have 6 adult redfoots and they are fed3 large rats once a month. i've read several articles which state that redfoots need a little carrion in their diet and have been seen in the wild feeding on dead animals.
one article i read in reptiles magazine says (the keepers opinion) that carrion may even help provide better fertility.

e wild they will take small mamales and that it is ok to feed them this.I can see where he is coming from as we all know redfoots eat any thing you give them (well mine eat any thing )fruit, greens slugs ,snails leaves and also flowers and ratpups ?? .Any thoughts on this would be very interesting . Thaks 4 the help and replies . Mike ....
