Hello!! I got a baby Redfoot just yesterday from Turtle World. They are wonderful people to deal with, and they sell healthy captive bred tortoises, and ship with the best of care. They are located in Florida, the perfect place to raise Redfoots, as, Redfoots like humidity. My little baby arrived safetly, and as soon as he had his soak, he went right to eating!! They are such opportunists with food it seems, so there is no excuse as to why no one cannot feed them healthy diet! The nice people at Turtle World helped me out a lot in getting started with my baby tortoise, and I have asked many questions! I also looked on Yahoo, by putting in Redfoot Tortoise in the search. There are quite a few great sites. My favorites were: Basil The Redfoot, and the other is, Beasley The Redfoot. The Basil site has many helpful tips, such as feeding and a growth chart. The Beasley site had many helpful tips also, and both had great links to other sites. The beasley site has a link to Hatchling Haven, its very helpful in raising baby tortoises. (also, search under hatchling tortoises). My little Redfoot likes to eat, and then he goes into his hidebox for a nap!! (tortoises, like all babies, need their sleep!!) Good luck at finding more info, turtles and tortoises for dummies book also has a lot of good info. They are neat tortoises, and deserve the best possible treatment that they can get!
