I'm running into a beak problem now too...and I'm going to try what my friend Terry has devised to keep her Leopard's beak trimmed. She feeds the greens on a large flat rock instead of a tupperware or food dish. That way, the tortoise ends up knawing a bit on the rock while feeding and keeps the beak trimmed. Cuttlebones are also a good way to do this...
