I always recomend that the animal be given as much control as possible. For water provide a water dish. This needs to be cleaned out daily with redfoots. With the heat give it a range to chose from as it sounds like you are doing. For food try to provide as much variety as possible. Redfoots are omnivours. They have been known to take animal protein but the majority of the diet should be vegitarian.
