Runny noses and wheezing can be caused by many conditions and not necessarily 'problems'. Too dry, too moist, too hot, too cold, or changes in such, etc. So if the animal is eating well and acting relatively 'normal', watch it but don't really panic. Try and find some other keepers of elongata and compare notes. All the things that Jason pointed out are good cues to monitor. For a substrate I suggest pine bark mulch. Allow it to dry out between moistenings. In other words water the substrate once a week or so for a higher humidity. When you do water it mix it around. This keeps it from getting moldy.
