: : I have a pair of leopard tortoises that will soon be of breeding size. My question is, if successful how do you legally sell the offspring. I was under the impression that it is illegal to sell turtles/tortoises less than 4 inches long except for scientific or educational purposes. Yet there are tons of hatchlings available in the classifieds section as well as being directly available from the breeders. Am I overlooking something? I just can't believe there are that many people who would knowingly break the law.

: I think that law only applies to turtles
I have seen many pet stores that sold baby leopard tortoises. I guess they don't enforce that law too strictly.
