I got my first reptile about 5 months ago (it has since grown to a numerous amount, very addicting!) My first though is a a female Russain named speedy. I at the time had no idea about wc vs. cb and got a wc. She is at the time an indoor tort, so that we can keep her from burrowing this first winter to check for any and all health problems. If the lines on the back really do tell the age then she is about 7yrs. Is there anyway I can get her tamed enough while she has to wait inside that she's not always rubbing against the glass? As of yet she it hasn't hurt her little face, but it worries me. Also what does everyone use for substrate? We started with cali sand, which she could barley walk on, then on to coconut bark by t-rex which I learned later could harbor mites and the like and now she is on a reptile litter that is suppose to kill bacteria. It looks kinda like rabbit food. I hate changing it all the time, I just want what is best! One more thing, she hardly ever goes to the bathroom except when we soak her, since they hold it in for water and nut. thats ok right, or is she totaly backed up?
