Hi Sergio--

A Reptisun 5.0 bulb is important for your tortoise--not for the tortoise's color but for vitamin D3 production which is necessary to process calcium.

Baby tortoises are often more brightly colored and have shinier shells than do older tortoises. This is just the process of maturing. :-)
