: I have a female sulcata, about 20 pounds. She becomes very aggressive and tries to ram me while I,m feeding her.(she's fast too!) I have a male that never shows any sign of aggression. Is her aggression normal?
Johnnie....we have a 45lb male that does the same thing. In fact yesterday he was to fast for me and got my ankle between him and a large wooden beam. I was feeding him a hibiscus flower. He does it almost every time when he first comes up to anyone. Once he has established he is tougher than the person, he follows them around like a little puppy. He also rams the sprinkler and what I have left of my flower pots. His favorite ramming targets are their dogloo houses when I have them turned on their sides for hosing out. He'll ram and then push them all over the yard. Now our younger male, half the size of the older one has never rammed anyone but the other male when they are allowed chaperoned visits. I've questioned the behavor on the forum before and haven't recieved any response/comments. Hope yours will.
