Personally I would not trust a zoo enough to give them one of my pets. Why don't you try to breed egyptians? I think you, your pet, and the tort keeping public would be better off if a private individual was breeding them, instead of a zoo. If you are not keen on breeding, maybe try to find another private individual to use your pet as a breeder. I do believe there are kleinmanni breeders in the Northeast. Otherwise I totally agree with what you are saying, too bad most keepers aren't as ethical as you.
