:: I'm not sure that this is the right tortoise for you. Have you kept torts before? I know it is illegal to buy or sell them here in CA, and maybe elsewhere. The best thing to do would probably be to contact you local chapter of turtle/tortoise club. These critters need a hot dry climate and I'm not sure if your area is ideal. You really shouldn't keep them indoors but someone more familiar with your area may be able to tell you more. Rachel
