I thought the releasing part part is implied.
Well, you'll see what I'm talking about if you persue the endevour of breeding this species under the guise of doing it 'for the good of the species'.

: So trying to increase the population of an endangered species is frowned upon? That's news to me Ed. Females as you know are difficult to hatch and/or find. Reproducing an endangered species would be admirable I would think. Just trying it because you think it would be neat? That sounds to me like someone who shouldn't do it! I didn't say anything about releasing the hatchlings. I would undergo such an endeavor under the guidance of the California Turtle/Tortoise Club and/or fish and game. My motivations are positive. I appreciate your comment though...
