So trying to increase the population of an endangered species is frowned upon? That's news to me Ed. Females as you know are difficult to hatch and/or find. Reproducing an endangered species would be admirable I would think. Just trying it because you think it would be neat? That sounds to me like someone who shouldn't do it! I didn't say anything about releasing the hatchlings. I would undergo such an endeavor under the guidance of the California Turtle/Tortoise Club and/or fish and game. My motivations are positive. I appreciate your comment though...
