Terry, ask Christine if there is any possible way she could let Suki do
some grazing on grasses. This might help. I'm inclined to think maybe
this Sulcata needs more fiber rather than wet foods to get a stool going.
On the other hand, she may have cleaned out on the way to their home
initially, and it may take some time to process enough food and get
another stool, with the change of environment. Tina
: Hello Everyone! About 2 weeks ago we brought home a 1 year old, overgrown Sulcata: Suki. On the way home Suki peed a lot and pooped a lot, but she has not pooped since then. It's been 2 weeks. We brought her to the vet, (obviously could not bring a fecal sample) and he examined her, she is overgrown and has a calcium deficiency. She got a Calcium shot, a vitamin D3 shot and parasite antibiotic infusion (?) We have been feeding her: chicory, chard, escarole, romaine, collard greens, zucchini, and small amounts of apple (once a week). RepCal is added to her food daily. We have been soaking her, at the vets advice, we are now soaking her once a day and feeding her foods high in water content. Her room is monitered closely for temperature, the cool side never goes below 72, she basks frequently under her light. But still, no poop. We are beginning to worry and will take her back to the vet Tuesday if she has not pooped by then. (Our vet is a herp vet and has experience with Sulcatas.) Has anyone ever experience this with a Sulcata before? Anyone have any clue what could be wrong? Or any suggestions that could help our Suki? Thank you all in advance.
