: Have you seen this type of pigment, or lack there of? He hatched this way about a month ago. He is lacking the black spots on his shell but many of my babies are like that since my adults are blonde. The lack of pigment is along the front of his shell. Any thoughts?
I have had some hatch out with NO black on the carapace scutes also. Why? Who knows... I would not think it a rare condition, just a simple variation. Sorry, I do not have any pics yet of this years babies.
