At turtle World we take in hurt, sick, un-wanted
: and in need of home, turtles and torts. Every turtle that comes into turtle
: world goes through a quaratine process which last 2 weeks.
This is all well and good, but it is a very unusually short quarantine period for someone taking in the sick and unwanted. It's fairly common knowledge that a quarantine period of a least six months is a more reasonable amount of time for many(certainly not all) potentially infectious ailments to show themselves.
Do you perform fecal exaninations? Do you have a qualified vet on staff to diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatments? Can you provide references?
