Turtle World is a turtle rehabilitation center,
and turtle adoption agency. Here at turtle world we specialize in
captive care and breeding of All turtles and tortoises. Turtle World
is a non-profit organization. At turtle World we take in hurt, sick, un-wanted
and in need of home, turtles and torts. Every turtle that comes into turtle
world goes through a quaratine process which last 2 weeks.
Then we keep these turtles in a enclosure or pond untill we find a suitable home.
In order to find a suitable home we prefer handing them over to breeders. Some of which work in turtle world.
But, most of the time they go to experienced pet owners. In order to adopt a turtle,
they need to send us pics of their enclosure and where they live.
They need to prove that they know something about the species.
Then if we find they are gonna be great owners, then we provide them w/ care sheets, and they are on their way.
Since Turtle World has to pay for the shipping when donated turtles come in, we ask that
they new homes do the same. If the turtles go to a breeder, they are required, since they
are getting the turtle for free, to tell us when this turtle breeds, and when the baby
hatches. The previous owner therefore gets first grabs at this new born. If you do not want the new born it normally
goes to Turtle World2. Turtle World2, is a place that breeds turtles, and keeps them out side in an enclosure
that allows these turtles to graze for their own food. That way every one year old is released into the wild,
already knowing how to care for them selves. That way we can build up our populaion in
the wild once again. If you would like to donate a turtle, please e-mail me. If u would like to adopt a turtle, leave
a post. If you would like to donate a turtle, tell me what it is, how old, sex, what you are keeping it in
and why u want to give it up(even though NO turtle is ever turned down, NO MATTER WHAT!) A pic of the turtle would
be great!
thanks for your time, interest, and cares about tomorrows turtle
population!
