: : can any one help I have a female redfoot who some times eats some foxgloves .I know these are posinious for humans but can some torts eat them. ?????
: Hi Mike,
: While its true that tortoises have a higer tolerance for plants that humans cant eat (ranticulas or buttercups are a normal part of a wild hermanns diet and wild box turtles have been known to eat toxic mushrooms and the humans that are the turtles died..)this is a plant that would pull up just to be safe and then you wont have to worry about toxicity build up over time. Just my thoughts but hope it helps.
: tcc :)
Thanks 4 the help tcc I will keep them away, from the plants .
