I've had my yearling sulcata for about 2 weeks now, and I must admit I can be overprotective. I couldn't find coments on whether this is normal or not, so I'm hoping fellow tortoise people out there can help. When I feed my tortoise, he seems to grope at his food, and wind up with a mouthful of air just as often as a mouthful of food. I have no reason to think his vision is failing, as he finds his way around easily, and he is otherwise very healthy. Is it normal for a tortoise to 'miss' when eating, or do I have a potential problem? many thanks! ~A
