You can sometimes find both for as low as $1500.00 and as high as $4000.00 for a 6 inch animal. I saw some beautiful 10 inch Aldabras at Daytona last year for $4500.00
The bottom line is that they 'go for' what ever the seller asks. How quickly they sell of course depends on the price. I'm in no hurry to sell them. I take great pride in the care they get and I have no problem answering questions as long as you have the tortoise and then some. Basicly, you get what you pay for.
$1500.00 to $2000.00 is what you can expect to pay for a hatchling though.
