The DG would be just fine as long as it is not too course. Say 1/8 inch grains or less. I'll bet it would look nice also. For their sleeping quarters I would use pinbark mulch/hay/or grass.

: Hi, I have a Spur Thighed & a Lepard Tortise both are 1.5 yrs old. I have made them an out side enclosure that is 6'Lx4'Wx2'H and I'm not sure what type of dirt to put in there. They both like to burrow so that why I made it deep. I thought I would make the bedding 2' deep. I was thinking about D.G. (Decoposed Granite) but my wife thinks that would get to hard. Any advise would help. Thanks Alcade...
