I had no idea that it got so warm in your area! Because these are burrowing creatures, Im sure that this wont be such an issue. Be sure to remember this, allow for burrowing behavior when building a habitat, provide water and they should be fine.

: I just recently aquired a pair of russian torts and had a housing question. I have read that the max temp for them is in the mid 90's The problem is that I want to house them outside over the summer but around here(central Illinois) it can get well over 95 deg on a regular baisis. I don't think that it will be much cooler in the shade. Is it going to be a problem for them and should I just bring them in when I know it's going to be really hot.
