Advice on sluggish baby Sulcatta

First off thanks to everyone that has responded.
I felt his shell today. While it is not soft, mushy or pliable, it does give a little if I apply pressure.
Could age be playing a part in this?
Also could lack of UV have something to do with it?
It has been cold in northern CA for a few months now so I have not had a chance to get him in direct sunlight.
He does have a 5.0 about 8" above his enclosure. THe only problem is that there is a Hide Log in there that may be a little big and he spends so much time in there that I am wondering if he is getting enough UV.

I took the log out this morning and will leave it out over the next week.
I am planning on taking him to the Vet just to be safe this weekend.
