I have been keeping my hingeback outside. I have had him for about 6 years and he is doing great. He seems to like it best when it is about 70-75 and a light rain. It has been in the high 80's and low 90's the last few days and I don't see him out as much, but he stills comes out in the mornings for awhile. The main problem I have had with mine is he wouldn't stay in his water bowl long enough and he became constipated a few times, so now when he loses interest in food I bring him in and give him a long soak in warm water until he goes and then he is a happy eating tortoise again.
