: I've since replaced the water dish with a jumbo one so he
: can get into it (Like Georgia's pic! LOL) and added some
: Geraniums and a large flower pot turned on it's side buried
: into the dirt. Also some rolls of centipede, with which we
: did the yard today (alas I'm burned and tired!). niki

Niki...the pen looks great. I don't know what your weather is like but I personally would make sure the water is partially shaded. I know you already know not to make it too deep for him. Here in So. Calif. Tonka and Buster's water bowls warm up fast if they are left in direct sun. Tonka and Buster as they have gotten older only sit in the water when they want a good cool off. I find them drinking out of it more than sitting in it these days. I love to watch them dip into the water nearly to their eyes and sip and sip and sip and then that big lump of water travels down their throats. I found the tread a while back about making water available for the torts kind of funny. Ours will go days without even noticing that the water exists and then there are days where you see them drink from once or twice a day from it. Whatever....we keep it avaiable and cleaned out daily. Hope Teddy enjoys his new pen.
