Also if you can afford it plant some succulents in shallow pots- Hens & chicks, sedum etc- It adds some variety to the habitat and the tortoise can eat them. And, as I can attest, eat them to the ground like candy.
I also let my habitat cool down conciderably during the night- 55* to 60*. In nature the tortoise's nights would naturally be cooler.
