: I don't mean to anthropomorphize too much but when I first gave my male a female companion, they took a serious interest in each other. There have not been any mating attempts yet, but they follow each other around constantly. Neither one seems to do all the leading or all the following. But when one has an inkling to head in one direction, the other usually follows. They sleep together, bask together, etc. Sometimes they push each other out of the way of food a little, but there's no serious fighting and it only lasts a second. It's really cute actually.
Now my question to myself is, how are these dynamics gonna change when I introduce the second female. Will the male get confused or super-excited? Will the present female get "jealous" (seeing her as competition)? I don't know too much about Russian behaviors in these circumstances. Any ideas?
