My Russians have a drinking problem!

And I'm not talking vodka here. ;)
Seriously, I've read many pages and care sheets about Russians, and they all say to shower/soak Russians in water every so often in mildly cool water, to encourage them to drink. I do this twice per week without fail. Sometimes I one of my females put her face in the water to check it out, but I see no sign of actual drinking, no matter how closely I look. My other female and my male just sit, or scramble to get out of the soaking box (a plastic sweater box). I never soak more than two at a time. One pair lives together and the other female lives separately since she is still under quarantine.

They look fine, eat well and are not exhibiting any signs of dehydration or other stress. But I always read how hydration is so important. I know this to be true with experiences with other herps, and I would like to hibernate them this winter, but don't want to risk it if they are not drinking enough. Does any of this sound familiar to anyone. Am I worrying too much?
