It can vary vary dramaticly from clutch to clutch from 0 to 100 percent. The average I put together over a 4 year period is roughly 66 percent. (about 400 eggs). I wouldn't call this normal because I really don't know what normal is. I don't know of any studies of hatch rate in the wild for leopards but this should give you an idea.

: My leopard tortoise usually lays about 11 eggs but only one third of them are firtile. Is that normal and if not what are the most likely reasons. Does anyone know what the average fertilityrate is in leopard tortoises?
: Thanks sh
