Hi Andy,
Is this tortoise housed indoors or out?
Some kind of calcium supplement is a good idea.
If the tort is housed outdoors, calcium carbonate dusted on food, cuttlebone left in the enclosure, or any other phosphorous free formula can be used.
If the tortoise is housed indoors, calcium with D3 and the use of UV lighting should be used.
Good luck.
Just don't use the D3 formula if the tort is housed outdoors.
