Hey guys and gals, I had a scary situation happen to me the other day which led me to this question: How long can a tortoise survive on it's back if it is not directly under a heat lamp. I came home from work to find my Red Foot, Valentino, tipped over on his back. He cannot right himself, and the situation really bothered and scared me a lot. I usually go home to check on my torts during lunch, but that one day I couldn't, and of course that is the one day something like this happens. He must have been like that for about 6 hours. He is doing fine though, very active and eating and drinking like a horse. Just curious. Thanks.
