Sulcatta's are African. They live in an extremely arrid climate, hardly ever seeing standing water. So its no wonder your tortoise is resisting a soaking. My 30lb Sulcatta is about 5 years old and is almost too large and heavy to easily tote around. He will outgrow and outeat your other tortoise in quick time. As long as its hot outside, your sulcatta will be happy. Just don't let him get chilled (at any time)
