: : I've decided to eat it instead.

: Just kidding:)

: Actually, I drew some blood and will be bringing it back tomorrow so they can bull doze it like they are doing with the rest of them around there.

: I do not possess a permit to relocate so this is best I assume. I'm going to have the blood analized. All 26 at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm have it.

: Ciao'

Giovanni -

The gopher tortoise situation around here is really lousy isn't it? When you buy land to protect them, they turn up sick. It's easier for a developer to pay a fee and bulldoze the animals. Back in the old days it was just a matter of whether or not they were eaten. Good luck with the blood test. If it's positive you can always try and get a permit to keep it since it shouldn't be released. Oops, another Catch-22. You can't keep it, you can't let it go... That's one reason I always move them off the road and let them trundle off. If it's been exposed to the mycoplasma I'd rather not know about it. Who knows, they may never develop resistance to the disease if all the positive ones are not released - they might be the ones that end up surviving the disease. Oops another Catch-22.

Take care,
Dan
