Hi Enjay.All those things you mentioned are good and will work.I prefer 250 watt Red heat lamps I
use concrete block barns.Most of my sulcatas wont
even use the barns anymore.They have very deep burrows and stay in the ground during the coldest
winter days.I have been keeping like this for 10 years now with no problems.Very wet and cold winters can be a problem for tortoises.I keep a close eye on them when we have a prolong wet winter....Hope this helps..Bob
