I have it in a large plastic blanket box, filled with play sand. It has somewhere to retreat to. I recently moved it. I use to have it in a 60 gallon tank with some desert lizards, I noticed it got stuck in a cave and was rubbing it's carapace and plasterin. Now I take it out for natural sunlight. I live in FAR West Texas, so the weather is hot and dry. I am concerned about it's growth rate. It eats good, what ever I dish out for my iguanas, Bearded dragon, desert iguana, chuckwallas, and spiny tailed iguanas.

What do you guys think about it's size, I have heard that they are suppost to get pretty big the first year.

Thanks
Albert
