Hi!
I have a tortoise Marginata - bred in Captivity 18 month old. He has been living in a lovely warm wooden vivarium since he was born and I would now like to put him outside. I have built a home for him in our South UK garden and have put him outside for the last two days bringing him in at night(average day temperature of 70 F). The trouble is he burys in the bark and hides all day - as if he is cold. Is it because he is cooler than in his indoor home? He has not been hibernated this year and I was wondering if going into a colder environment he thinks it is time to hibernate. I just don't know really and would like some advice?
