For young sulcatas access to water is important.

My baby sulcata is 90 grams and does have a drinking bowl in his indoor enclosure.But not in his outdoor enclosure.
The drinking bowl is the plastic top off a Sunny Delight lid.

But just the right size for him to take a morning drink from.

The back yard gets watered at night when the sulcatas are snug and dry in their shed.

I don't soak any of my juveniles or sub adults/adults.
For babies things are a bit different and my baby does have a small drinking bowl.

What works for one person doesn't mean it works for another though.

I don't feed my tortoises " whole grain bread" for example!
Although others "personally" do!!!

you must sift through the answers and find what works for you.
I think it goes without saying that anyone who provides a drinking bowl would make sure it was clean. And the water fresh.
A drinking bowl works for my baby sulcata.
I have always provided drinking bowls for my young sulcatas.
Once they truely become juveniles, they lose interest in it.
But as babies and young torts, they drink from it often.
