: I was watching a show about Turtles and Tortoise the other night and in this show there was a tortoise that ate a slug...
: I have a african spured tortoise and have never feed him anything but grass and other veggies and I read all the suff I have on the breed but nothing tells about bugs of any kind so I just wanted to know if i could feed my tort. slugs and worms?
Hi I wouldnt feed this to a spurred tort but to a hingeback yes. Its real important to keep as best to their natural diet as possible. My baby sulcatas will eat a passing pill bg when out grazing from time to time. I dont fret about this but dont go out of my way to feed such high protein foods as its real had on the kidneys.
What kind of tort was this eating slugs anyway?
Many thanks,
tcc :)
